Ever since the news of Mumbai’s eatery Aasvad’s Misal Pav was given the title of ‘tastiest vegetarian dish in the world’ by the Foodie Hub Global Awards in London, its footfall has increased immensely. Although we are not much surprised by this broadcast, as it is a given that Indian food is glorified for its delectable and varied platter we are also known to make a mean breakfast that is not just mouthwateringly delicious but is also loaded with proteins, whole grains, Carbohydrates, vegetables and fruits.
Hereunder is a list of few breakfast ideas that will surely appease your appetite even with its low calorie count.

8.     Oats Idli – Yes Idli has appeared for the second time in this list, but it cannot be helped as the benefits of this breakfast diet is all consuming. Apart from carrying the usual protein and fibre of a normal idli batter, Oats idli has added incentive because of the Oats which contains sodium, potassium, carbohydrates and dietary fibre apart from also having Vitamin A, Calcium, Vitamin D and Vitamin B-12.
9.     Moong Dal Cheela – Another variation of the famous Indian Dosa, Moong Dal Cheela is made up of a batter that consists of Moong Dal, Paneer and veggies like capsicum, onion and cabbage and cashewnuts. One cannot find a better and healthier way to start the day.
10.  Beetroot and Sesame Roti – This Roti is a mixture of grated beetroot, til (sesame seeds) and coriander powder. The rotis have a lovely tinge of pink in them due to the presence of the very healthy and savoury beetroot in them.
11.  Bread Bhurji – If you’re in a hurry but you absolutely MUST have a healthy breakfast, Bread Bhurji is the way to go. This light on the stomach breakfast choice could be made using either, olive, sesame, coconut or peanut oil as they are all healthy substitutes to the all-pervading none-too-healthy sun flower oil, and added to that is healthy doses of tomato, onion, coriander leaves and carrot both delicious to taste as well bringing in flavor to the palate. Also, using brown bread would go long in keeping with your nutrition diet as we all know how harmful flour based bread is to our health.
A healthy breakfast or a healthy diet does not necessarily mean that it has to leave a bad taste in the mouth. It could tickle your taste buds and send you to high heaven. All one has to do is look for the right breakfast meal that will accommodate your palate.
