A 2014 study concluded that oatmeal increases fullness in the body. A person does not feel hungry very quickly, thus can maintain his/her diet the day. Also, oats are a great source of fiber.

For people who face the problem of low cholesterol, oats is a great option. Oatmeal contains a soluble fiber called beta-glucan that absorbs excess cholesterol.
