Pasteurized Milk Vs. Raw Milk: Which is the Better Contender?

Are you diagnosed with lactose intolerance or do you know of any friend or family of yours who have an allergic reaction to milk? And have you ever wondered why some people’s bodies simply reject milk? Well, we here at specialfoodz have an answer to all your dairy-related questions!

So what exactly is pasteurized milk?
According to Wikipedia.org “Pasteurization is the process of heating milk up and then quickly cooling it down to eliminate certain bacteria. For effective pasteurization, milk can be heated up to 145 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes, but this method isn't very common.”
Essentially, pasteurized milk is milk that is boiled through conventional means, and Raw Milk is the milk you get straight from the udders of a cow, goat, sheep, or a camel without ever tampering with it or changing its essential makeup.
The reason people with lactose intolerance and milk allergies suffer with constipation, fever, diarrhea and antibiotics is not because they are allergic to milk, it is simply because they need raw milk in their diet. People with the aforementioned symptoms and allergies have only pasteurized milk in their diet. The moment they switch to raw milk all allergies and symptoms vanish and they are able to drink milk without qualms just as other people.
There is a misconception that the kind of food we eat has no influence on our gut bacteria and raw milk solves a lot of these problems.

The history of pasteurization and its hard hitting reality.
Pasteurized milk has its own industry now. A few hundred years ago, (the 1800’s) distilled milk was filled with filth and disease. What was earlier known as Brewery dairies, (dairies that existed next to breweries) is the link to this chain of how pasteurization came about. The breweries had a lot of brewery waste (also known as distillers) that was unaccounted for. The cows, that used to graze nearby as the dairy farm was very close to these breweries consumed all of this brewery waste. Since cows have never eaten distilled grains, this is not a natural food type for them and it was only introduced to them for that period of time. The cows obviously did not take to this diet, existing in filthy conditions and a very unhealthy environment. At the time, stainless still was not an available product, there was no system of refrigeration, and cleanliness most certainly did not exist. In any sort of unhygienic condition, one would always face problems with the resulting food product and this case, it was the milk that became affected. If the cows were unhealthy, then so would the milk be. Cows even had tuberculosis but through cleanliness and animal husbandry, this issue would never crop up!
So there you have it folks. The only reason pasteurization came about was because of the inability of the owners of dairy farms to effectively take care of their cows. They subjected them to uninhabitable, filth ridden, conditions and allowed them to consume food that was never a part of their diet. Naturally the people at the time fell sick after consuming this distilled grain filled milk.

There is a reason this market is booming. Not many believe in consuming raw milk anymore. Everybody is satisfied with the conventional pasteurization process that companies have adopted for ages. Everybody is convinced that only by consuming pasteurized milk will they stay healthy and fit but we have shown you a reality that is quite different from what you might have earlier believed to be true. So say good-bye to those milk packets people, and have a go at raw, healthy, natural and organic milk.
